It seems that every year since my son was 4, I have coached his little league summer baseball team. Every other year, we have a bad record and it seems to affect not only my son but the rest of the boys. For example, in 2008 our team was 11-2 and went to the semi-finals of the playoffs. This year we are 2-11 and we are in a league that allows all teams to go to the playoffs, but we are in last place. Every game, I tell the kids the positives of what they did during the game. However, it seems like all of the boys only care about winning. I never wanted to be that coach that provided a bad year for boys and then I am the reason they don't want to come out the following year. Any suggestions for next summer?
